This ministry is about helping the less fortunate at Christmas time. Tags are placed on Christmas trees requesting gifts and necessities for various organizations and several parishes. These groups include single moms and their children, the elderly, the homeless, as well as families in need within our Parish. The goal of this special ministry is to give approximately 1,600 people gifts for Christmas. At least 12 community organizations, ranging from those who serve infants to those who serve the elderly, receive gifts from our parishioners.
This Ministry provides a safe environment for people to do the work of mourning in a way that allows them to reconcile the loss and to find continued meaning in life and living. Members of the group receive support and understanding from others as they provide that support and understanding to others.
The group meets on alternate Wednesdays from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M.
