Archbishop's Catholic Appeal

This annual appeal, held in the spring, funds the many activities and charities of the greater community of the Archdiocese of Denver.

Bowling for Turkeys

This annual event near Thanksgiving is a great opportunity for professionals and amateurs alike to prove their talents in bowling and giving to the community. 
The entry fee is one frozen turkey per bowler, which is donated to a local food drive. The resulting fun, laughter and friendships are all freebies!

Charitable Contributions Committee

In January of 2005, St. Joan of Arc became a Stewardship Parish. Our parish donates a percentage of the regular offertory to worthy organizations and charities. This committee recomends quarterly donations to the Finance Council and Father Joseph. Many worthy organizations have been helped through St. Joan of Arc's financial assistance.

Coffee and Doughnuts

Coffee and doughnuts, along with fellowship, are provided on Thursday mornings after the 8:30 A.M. Mass and on most Sundays following the 7:30 and 9:00 A.M. Masses.

ELC - Auction Dinner and Dance

This annual event is held on the third Saturday in October in Orleans Hall and hosted by the ELC. Parish members are encouraged to assist and contribute to this event. It’s a dinner, dance, live and silent auctions.

Fish Fry

One Friday during Lent, the Men’s Club sponsors a fish fry for all parishioners. This evening provides an opportunity to share in a Lenten meal and come together to meet as one large community.

Giving Tree

This ministry is about helping the less fortunate at Christmas time. Tags are placed on Christmas trees requesting gifts and necessities for various organizations and several parishes. These groups include single moms and their children, the elderly, the homeless, as well as families in need within our Parish. The goal of this special ministry is to give approximately 1,600 people gifts for Christmas.  At least 12 community organizations, ranging from those who serve infants to those who serve the elderly, receive gifts from our parishioners.

Grief Self-Help Support Group for Loss of a Child or Loved One

This Ministry provides a safe environment for people to do the work of mourning in a way that allows them to reconcile the loss and to find continued meaning in life and living. Members of the group receive support and understanding from others as they provide that support and understanding to others.

The group meets on alternate Wednesdays from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M.

Knights of Columbus

This is an organization for Catholic men, 18 years of age and older. The Knights help the parish and surrounding community as a Catholic, family, and fraternal service organization. They are guided by the principles of charity, unity and fraternity. Check the bulletin for scheduled business meetings, potlucks, and pancake breakfasts.

Men’s Club

Catholic and non-Catholic men of all ages in the parish gather for fellowship, recreation and work projects such as church decorations for Christmas and Easter seasons, the Fish Fry and other parish functions that need support.

Meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month.

Blood Drive

Blood donors are always greatly needed. Teenagers may donate when 17 years old with parental consent. Volunteers may help by signing up donors after Masses, baking cookies and working at the refreshment table on the day of the drive.

Broadway Assistance Center

Volunteers are needed to help load and unload non-perishable food which is donated the second Sunday of each month. Food is then taken to the Broadway Assistance Center at the Denver Inner City Parish.

Christmas Food Boxes

This worthwhile once-a-year ministry provides Christmas dinner baskets to make the holidays a happy time for those in need.

Volunteers gather to assemble and distribute the baskets in time for Christmas.

Couples Together in Christ

The primary purpose of this group for married couples is to support and nurture Christ-centered marriages and families. The group meets the second Friday of every month in Durrie Hall. Dinner and childcare are provided. All married couples are invited to participate.

ELC - Shrove Tuesday Breakfast

The breakfast is held annually in Orleans Hall the day before Ash Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 A.M. The breakfast is provided by the ELC. A free-will offering is taken with the proceeds benefiting Lalmba Ministries in Africa.

Greeters

Greeters provide a warm welcome before Masses. Those who are interested in offering a smile and a handshake to parishioners and visitors are encouraged to participate in our Greeter Ministry.

Holy Ghost Sandwiches

Volunteers help God’s poor by preparing sandwiches for distribution to the homeless near the Holy Ghost Church and Franciscan House in downtown Denver. Sandwiches are made on the fourth Tuesday of each month beginning at 9:00 A.M. in Orleans Hall kitchen. Hard-boiled eggs and bananas are also collected.

This is America's leading provider of quality health screenings which are fast, accurate and available at an affordable rate. These services are available at St. Joan of Arc each fall. Watch the bulletin for details or contact the parish office for more information.

Receptions

This all volunteer committee helps create memorable moments for various scheduled private events. Volunteers will be taught to set up a function, serve, and clean up. Volunteers are asked to wear black pants/skirt and white shirt/blouse for all events.
